The awards for "Most Outstanding Cooperative"; "Most Outstanding Cooperative Development Officer"; and "Most Outstanding Cooperative Leader" in the country, are up for grabs at the 12th National Cooperative Summit set on October 16-18, 2014 at Waterfront Hotel, Lahug, Cebu.

Earlier, the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), in cooperation with concerned agencies, conducted screenings and awarded corresponding regional awardees from whom the national awardees will be chosen.  They will be recognized and awarded with Plaques of Recognition, according to Dir. Fe Caingles, of CDA's Institutional Development Department.

The nominees and awardees are also advised on the following awards procedures:

1.  Wear strictly Filipiniana attire during the ceremony.

2.  See the Gawad Pangal Secretariat at the designated space within the area, for the issuance of I.D.s and seat designations;

3.  Observe order in receiving the awards.  For co-ops, a maximum of five (5) persons are allowed to go up the stage; for LGU-CDOs, two (2); and for Co-op Leader, only the awardee is allowed on stage.

4.  No photo opportunities during the awarding itself.  Only the official Summit photographer is allowed to take awarding photos.  After the awarding, awardees may take their own photos at a designated area with the backdrop of Gawad Parangal. (END).
